Dry Creek Turquoise Rings
Our Dry Creek turquoise rings are genuinely Native American made with the palest turquoise in the world. The rarity of this amazingly beautiful pale blue turquoise is doubly increased due to the mine being closed so there is little to work into jewelry. According to one story, when it was discovered and found to be such an uncommon turquoise and so light in color, the Shoshone Indians named it "Sacred Buffalo Turquoise" after the legend of the white buffalo.Dry Creek has a brown matrix, while the White Buffalo Turquoise is a beautiful white stone with fine black spiderweb or kind of a blotchy matrix. Neither the Dry Creek or the White Buffalo should be confused with other stones that are called "white buffalo" which are actually howlite, magnesite. and other white stones that usually have gray and black matrices in them.
