Malachite is an opaque stone with beautiful concentric bands of dark and light green with black. It is easily recognized by its color, green streaks, and the very sleek polished surface. It is a soft stone and because it is fragile, similar to opals, you need to protect it from scratches and sharp blows. Large quantities of this stone have been mined in Russia and it is found worldwide. In the U.S. it is mined in Arizona. Our malachite jewelry is Indian hand made in New Mexico. Now- FREE SHIPPING
