Medicine Wheel

The medicine wheel is a symbol of healing and represents many things all tied together in the circle of life.  It signifies the four directions: north, east, south and west; the four stages in life: child, youth, adult and old age; the four seasons: spring, summer, autumn and winter; and the four races of people: black, white, yellow and red.  The center is the great Creator.  So if your life is in balance, then you are whole.  Different tribes use different colors to represent the four directions.  Read also the Navajo Beauty Way Ceremony.

Our medicine wheels are made with leather, glass beads, bone and feathers by a woman of Cherokee heritage from North Carolina.
