BUC-DT-1741 Genuine old pawn buckle, 3" wide by 2" tall and made to fit a belt up to 1 1/2" wide.
How do we know it was a pawned item? On the back
you will find several markings. The initials "DT" and the rain
cloud motif are the silversmith's signature. Above that are the
letters "ILLH". Those letters are a code that represents what the
pawn broker/trader had loaned to the artisan. Also on the back of
this buckle is the name and a date added later by a previous owner.
It reads "Dave Bowden 27-12-77.
