Turquoise Earrings
These turquoise earrings are hand made by Native American Navajo and Zuni Indian silversmiths. The Southwest Native American Indians call turquoise the "sky stone", and since ancient times have used this stone as a talisman for health, happiness, protection and as a symbol of wealth. For centuries they have used this stone in their ceremonies and jewelry, and other items of art. Long earrings made of turquoise beads were worn by the women and often used as trade goods. The wearing of turquoise gives one a feeling tranquility and of connection to the Southwest with its warm blue skies. Because we represent literally dozens of Navajo and Zuni silversmiths we are able to offer you this jewelry at a savings of half off the recommended retail price.
