We offer exceptional hand crafted wood carvings by various artists.
Bob Lundy is one of the artists we have collected and have works by for sale. In his own words he writes: :
"I was raised on a dairy farm in southern Idaho and have
retained to this day an intense hatred for dairy cows and all other livestock to
a lesser degree. The twice a day juicing of those senseless beasts left an
indelible mark on me. I decided long ago, never again.

I haven't. And I won't." Lundy turned his talents to the art of wood
carving faces.
Now nationally known,
Bob Lundy
shares his techniques of relief wood carvings in his books. Amply illustrated, they take the reader
step-by-step through carving projects and offers the information needed to carry
out even more. With everything carved by hand, his books are written for both
the beginner and for the veteran. Bob Lundy approaches his work with an eye for
the personality of the carving. He instills that sensitivity to the reader,
giving the carver a feeling of closeness and intimacy with the figures that come
to life from the wood.

In his first book, Carving the Historic Western Face, published in
1991, Bob Lundy takes the carver through three projects, The Cowboy, The Indian,
and The Mountain Man. Then in 1992, he published Relief Carving with Bob
Lundy: Scenery in Wood.
The wood carvings we offer here for sale are from the decade before his books were published. He has since turned his talents toward making furniture.
